We recently created a poll on Twitter, asking people what was the biggest problem in the crypto market, in their opinion. Even though all of the options are REAL problems right now, the results were a bit surprising: there is ONE concern that seems to surpass the rest:
We also shared this poll on BitcoinTalk, and the feedback was quite interesting. According to people, the two main problems in the market are both related to price: Manipulation and Volatility.
I think volatility and manipulation. People are obsessed about the price but don’t realize price follows value and value is created by working on the technology. The short-sighted nature of this type of thinking is exactly why we are struggling to move ahead quicker. — Teamsah165454
I consider the volatility is the biggest problem of crypto currencies which restricts them from being used as a currency, but it is also the main reason many people keep investing on it to trade it. And price manipulation causes many investors to lose their money; mostly newbie investors fall for the whales, but it may get diluted in the future.- zhekinsp
I think that the biggest problem with crypto is volatility. It seems to me that if the volatility is lower and the crypto rate becomes stable, then the cryptocurrencies will compete with the dollar and the euro. — saganpav

In my opinion, I think there are many problems leading to a widespread crisis, but I guess the bigger issue in the market is the huge or volatilization (like what happened in the last period and until now) and all due to the manipulation of Bitcoin’s price by the capitalists. — Baoo
The biggest problem in the crypto market is the uncertainty in the market. This uncertainty in the market is bad for the new investors and at times hurt them as well. Another problem in the market is with the new investors who often do not know enough about the technology and the market they deal in and loose the money they invest. I think for the market to “mature” the coins/tokens need to be independent of BTC. Less chance for en-mass manipulation then and hopefully reduce volatility too. — Poink
To be honest with you, all of these can become a problem anytime soon. Volatility because you don’t know when you will need money and there is also a chance that your coins are really low when you need money the most. Security because you can get hacked anytime. Even you have ledger it can still be stolen by anyone from you. Price manipulation is also like volatility but this time it is controlled by whales. Regulation because any government agency can ban or limit the use of cryptocurrency.- Eraldo Coil
I think the 4 points listed above are part of it, but the main issue for me is not in the list, which is adoption, if people have invested Billions of Dollar into the space, and still no real adoption , this is a main concern for me, it is like we are gambling with out resource, until this is solved we are in for long haul — housebtc

People are concerned about the price, be it volatility or manipulation. Unfortunately there is no ONE magical solution that’s going to solve all issues at once, but we do believe that an alternative that brings stability, trust and easy access to a goblalized economy is the perfect start; not only to a friendlier price environment, but also to the wide adoption of cryptocurrencies we’re all dreaming of.
